Objective:To investigate the relationship between serum Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (sNGAL) and the early stage of diabetic nephropathy.Methods:23 healthy subjects of control group,30 T2DM patient,36 early stage of diabetic nephropathy patient were selected. The serum level of NGAL was measured in each group. The correlations between sNGAL and BMI,WHR,HOMA-IR, FPG,hs-CRP were analysised.Result:â‘ The sNGAL levels in patient with DN were significantly higher than that in control and T2DM groups.â‘¡There were positive correlation between the sNGAL and FPG,hsCRP,HOMA-IR,UAER(P<0.05 or P<0.01).â‘¢Multiple regression showed UAER,HOMA-IR were equal predicators of sNGAL level and HbA1c,hs-CRP,sNGAL were equal predicators of UAER level.Conclution:The sNGAL is increased in the group of T2DM,which can predict the renal disease earlier than UAER.Sngal may help the docter treat a patient in time and it play a great role in prevent the development of diabetic nephropathy.
