Objective Investigation of the antibacterial action of new nano-composite materials composed of gelatin - Hydroxyapatite - minocycline (Gel-HA-M) for bone repair ,and to prove its indispensability in the field of bone repair and enable it to get more widely used in the areas of bone defects.Methods With sterile saline as the release medium, accurately weigh 0.2g "Gel-HA-M" nano-composite for bone repair material and place it in a centrifuge tube, shock it in the 37°temperature openly, keep temperature in 37℃, 200rpm for oscillation frequency In vitro, and make another sample without minocycline "Gel-HA" as the control group. centrifuge the sample after 1d,3d,5d,7d,14d,21d,26d,30d. then make the sampling as the paper containing drug, proliferate spore bacteria Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg) and gold aureus, respectively, by disk diffusion method Porphyromonas gingivalis sp and Staphylococcus aureus in vitro inhibition experiments, record inhibition zone's data and make comparison with the control group, this speculat the antibacterial action of "Gel-HA-M "Nano-composite for bone repair.Results "Gel-HA-M" Nanocomposites can release minocycline and show a good antibacterial action. the "Gel-HA-M" nanocomposite paper in the plate on BHI solid medium shows a good antibacterial action to Pg,and the inhibition zone gradually narrows.It also performs good to Staphylococcus aureus, solid medium plates in the MHA can effectively inhibit the growth of S. aureus, with time passed,the inhibition zone narrows. And on the 30th day the composite materials paper still has bacterial inhibition zone to two bacterials . the "Gel-HA" nanocomposite paper release drug-containing liquid in the solid medium plate of bacteria and Staphylococcus aureus Pg did not show inhibitory effects.Conclusions Minocycline compounded with "Gel-HA" maintain its longer-time antimicrobial activity,the compoundation does not affect its bacterial performance, and in the first 30 days,it still has antibacterial activity to inhibit bacterial growth. "Gel-HA-M" Nanocomposites has a longer time to release minocycline,its antibacterial action are good to Pg bacteria and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria , and is a good antibacterial properties of nano-composite for bone repair.
