Objective To investigate the effects of fluvastatin on pulmonary artery pressure, inflammatory factor, and cardiac function in patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease and right heart failure. Methods Sixty in-hospital patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease and right heart failure were randomly recruited from October 2009 to September 2010. All patients were consistent with respiratory diseases branch of Chinese Medical Association and the National COPD diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary heart specification Collaborative Group diagnostic criteria for chronic pulmonary heart disease and 13 edition of "Practice of internal" diagnostic criteria for chronic right heart failure. The selected patients wereâ…¡NYHA grading cardiac functionâ…¢levels. The patients were randomly divided into two groups: The control group (conventional treatment group (group CG)) and up conventional treatment + fluastatin group (group (test group TG)). All patients were treated for 6 months respectively. All patients return blood samples before and after the treatment determination the levels of HS-CRP. All patients were checked echocardiographic to determine the pulmonary artery pressure and right heart ejection fraction. Thirty healthy persons who were out-patient health check over the same period were randomly chosen as healthy control group (normal group NG).SPSS13.0 statistical packages were used for analysis. p 0.05). After treatment, the levels of PASP, HS-CRP reduced in the two groups (P <0.05),but the experimental group reduced even more significantly(P <0.05);After treatment, the level of RVEF increased in the two groups (P <0.05),but the experimental group increased even more significantly(P <0.05).Conclusions The levels of PASP,HS-CRP in chronic pulmonary heart disease and right heart failure were higher than healthy people, the level of RVEF was lower than healthy people; Fluvastatin significantly reduced the levels of PASP, HS-CRP and increased the level of RVEF in patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease and right heart failure.
