The Communication Of Health Information In Northwest Minority Communities

Medical and public health has become the focus of the whole society, the needs of the public for health information is the problem must be solved. The mass media need to provide the public with a large number of accurate and useful health information, made the public improve health literacy, develop concepts of health, promote the health behavior.This research mainly through the investigate of self-communication, interpersonal communication and organizational communication of the health information in Hui communities, analysis daily health behaviors of minority communities and unique methods and channel of their respond to public health emergencies. Meanwhile, the research discuss the status of health education in muslim Community and summarize the disadvantages and experience of minority communities respect of public health based on the perspective of health communication.This article includes six chapters, the first chapter introduces the background, significance, problems and methods; the second chapter introduces the basic profiles of the local society; the third chapter describes the self-propagation conditions of the health information in the community of Hui nationality by surveying the study sites; the fourth chapter studies interpersonal communication of health information in the Hui minority community; the fifth chapter studies the organizational communication of health information in the study site; the final chapter is conclusion, which gives some consideration on the problem of the people in Hui minority community to accept health messages through mass media.Through research we found that the health concept in this Hui minority community is in accordance with the spirit of the national public health agencies promoted and keep the characteristics of the Muslim culture. However, due to the regional environment and historical reasons, there exist unscientific way of health care in this area. By this study, I want to got more researchers' interesting on this subject, make more people understanding minority cultures, so that the departments can pay more attention to the minority communities in the future. Accepting Information is the right of everyone in the media society, so information should be a resource for all the people of our society. Therefore, health education and health promotion research in the minority community are particularly urgent to be resolved.
