ObjectivesBy using the date of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM as an analytical case, this research aims to explore the operating regulations of nursing work in modern society, to protect of patient safety, and to explore the combination of heritage and innovation achievements of nursing culture. This study is also try to explore the effective pathway of cultivate advanced nursing culture through the static regulation and dynamic management system and eventually try to summarize a series methods to construct nursing culture.MethodsThe research methods are both theoretical and applicable, combined qualitative with quantitative research. Field investigation of the nursing culture construction was done in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM. The statistic methods include:using SPSS 17.0 Statistic software input and analysis the data, comparing the date with Agency of Health care Research and Quality's 2010 database. Apply Amos-7 to do confirmatory factor analysis(CFA).ResultThis study explained systematically the theory of nursing culture's origin and development status, mission, and other elements. From the point of nursing culture construct practice in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM we have fond several key points:improving the institutional system, optimizing the management system, setting up quality framework, and strengthening continues education, strengthening care and strive for nursing brand, establishing a typical model, focusing on tradition and innovation thinking and practice methods. Through compare the result of "Hospital survey on patient safety" with AHRQ 2010 database, the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM's nurses perception of "patient safety" are at higher level. "Patient safety culture" should be Recommend and which include performing landing incident reporting system, strengthening personnel training, enhancing communication effectiveness, and promoting multidisciplinary cooperation. ConelusionAdvanced nursing culture is conducive to enhancing the sense of responsibility and cohesion. Heritage and carry forward the Chinese traditional culture has a complementary effect with construct the "patient safety culture". To achieve the progress of contemporary nursing culture, we must proceed from reality to learn the essence of traditional culture, referring to foreign management ideas and methods, and deepen the connotation of nursing and humane care, enhance the nursing culture level, highlighting the value of nursing work.
