ObjectiveAccording to "constitution differentiation" mode, we observed the clinical symptoms and the therapeutic effects of patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome(CFS) by means of improving Qi deficiency constitution combined with spirit-regulation.Research MethodsFrom February 2010 to December 2011 in Guangzhou University of Tradit ional Chinese Medicine First Affiliated Hospital,57 patients who met dia gnostic criteria of chronic fatigue syndrome and Qi deficiency constitut ion were chosen in cosmetic acupuncture clinic.57 cases of patients wer e randomly divided into Control group and Treatment group according to th e order of entry,29 and 28 patients respectively. Patients in treatment group were treated by the method of constitution differential acupoints i n combination with traditional acupoints and acupoints which can regulate the spirit, while the Control group was only adopted traditional acupoin ts. Constitution differential acupoints and spirit regulation acupoits:Qi hai,CV12, ST36, BL20, GV24, EX-HN1(Qihai, CV12:moxibustion with warm needles;t he rest acupoints:normal needling) Tranditional acupionts:GV29, HT7, K13, L R3, SP6, ST36(normal needling) Set one month and a half as a course of trea tment,3 times a week. Treatment lasted for 3 courses,4 and a half month t otally. We observed the changes of patients'clinical symptoms and observ ed indexes of two group of 3 months after treatment. Then we had the dat a analyzed by statistical analysis software in order to make sure whether the statistical data has significance.ResultsThis study included 60 cases of cases, which were divided into two groups. In the observation process, the treatment group, excluding cases of 2 patients in the control group excluded patients in 1. Therefore, the treatment group had 29 valid cases, the control group had 28 valid cases.1.The total effective rates in treatment group and control group were 93.10% and 71.42% respectively. The statistical results showed that the total curative effect of treatment group was better than that of control group(P<0,05), which had significant differences.2. Both groups compared clinical symptoms before and after treatment (P <0.05), were statistically significant. Compared clinical symptoms between the groups treatment group and control group after treatment, (P<0.05), statistically significant3. Before and after treatment, and the Qi deficiency constitution integral between the two groups (P<0.05), had statistical significance. The integral of control group had no difference before and after treatment (P> 0.05).57 cases of patients were randomly divided into Control group and Treatment group according to the order of entry,29 and 28 patients respectively ConclusionThe results showed that the methods of treatment group and control group are both effective, but treatment group's was more effective than the control group's, which meant that the method of" constitution differentiation-" combined with spirit-regulation had the advantage over the tranditional "disease differentiation-" mode in treating the CFS.
