The vocation education has its own uniqueness which makes practice teaching the key to train application-oriented and skilled talent in vocational schools, especially in secondary vocational schools. Therefore, field trip is significant to practice teaching in secondary vocational schools. However, the reality of practice teaching in secondary vocational schools is not optimistic as we thought. There are some defects including 1.the essence of practice teaching has been ignored; 2.educational function of secondary vocational schools has not been achieved; 3.the conflict between the eagerness of society for skilled workers and unqualified students trained by schools has not been settled; 4.the function of talent instruction in secondary vocational schools has been queried. Given the background, we should regulate the theory system of practice management, and we also should review the problems in practice management. Undoubtedly, it is important to cope with the plight for vocational education in theory as well as in practice.We focus our attention on two major aspects. One is the analyses on the system of practice management as well as its construction, the other is our survey in some schools. Firstly, we identified some basic problems, including the conception of practice management, the theory this paper relied on, the uniqueness of practice management in secondary vocational schools, the people who are in charge of practice management, the organizations, the implementation and the security factors. After these analyses, we compose our questionnaire and interview. We carry out our survey by interviewing some students, vocational schools and some enterprises. Finally by reviewing these pragmatic problems, we give some suggestions to improving practice management.According to our research, we find some weakness in this area.1.the major body which respond the practice management including government, schools and enterprises has not fully bear its liability. And they lack coordination thus effectiveness is in vain.2.Our government has not set up Effective laws and regulations concerning practice management in secondary vocational schools, which can identify rights and liabilities. At the same time, the government investment is not sufficient, and its participation is not effective either.3.Teachers and leaders in schools do not have insight in practice management. Therefore, they neglect the importance of it.4.the enterprises focus on working so they do not pay attention to staff training. To cope with the situation, we cautiously raise the following suggestions.1.the government should support the program and fulfill its liability in investment and participation.2.the schools should realize and bear its responsibility to improve practice management.3.the enterprises should transfer their concepts and give full scope to practice management, so as to create favorable conditions to personnel training.
