Objective To investigate the efficacy of candesartan and amlodipine on primary hypertension of early renal damage.Methods 1. 83 microalbuminuria positive outpatients with essential hypertension (1, 2) were divided into amlodipine group (5mg / d) with 42 cases and candesartan group (8mg / d) with 41 cases according to the order of visits, with a course of 3 months. 2. To observe the difference in blood pressure, Scr, UMALB, Uα1-MG and CystC before and after treatment in two groups of selected patients. 3. Measure the levels of all indexes in the above such as the arm blood pressure in sitting situation with mercury sphygmomanometer blood pressure measurement , Scr with picric acid method , UMALB, Uα1-MG with radioimmunoassay and CystC with a double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Monitor their blood pressure twice a month, add hydrochlorothiazide 25mg/d to those whose blood pressure were not reduced to 140/90mmhg below. 4. Statistical analysis:Use SPSS13.0 software and mark the measurement data with mean±standard deviation ( x±s) in all observed indicators . Compare the measurement date treatment with those after treatment with paired T test, while take comparison between the two groups with T test. P <0.05 was statistical difference , while P <0.01 was significant difference. Results After three months' treatment, blood pressure of the two groups descended significantly than those before treatment(P<0.01), but comparing the blood pressure between the two groups after treatment, the difference is not significant(P>0.05); Scr of the two groups have no changes before and after treatment (P>0.05); UMALB and CystC of the two groups are lower than those before treatment(P<0.05), and the candesartan group is better than amlodipine group (P<0.05). So are Uα1-MG of the two groups,with a significant drop (P<0.01).Conclusion Both candesartan and amlodipine have a good antihypertensive effect to reduce levels of UMALB, Uα1-MG and CystC, but the effect of candesartan is better than that of amlodipine on primary hypertension of early renal damage.
