Objective:The therapeutic mechanism was studied in order to select a method which would be more safety, effective, simple and cheaper through observing the effects of chronic urticaria which was treated by scrapping and loratadine.Methods:There were 166 patients of chronic urticaria divided into 3 groups. The 56 patients in treatment group were treated by oral oratadine in gradually reducing method and scrapping once a week. The 58 patients in loratadine group were treated by oral loratadine in gradually reducing method. The 52 patients in scrapping group were treated by scrapping one time a week. All of them were treated continuously for 12 weeks. The effects and reaction of the patients were observed and then scored through the symptoms.Results:In this study the results showed that after 6 weeks the effects of the treated patients were following:(1) In the treatment group there were 7 cases recovery.20 cases excellent,21 cases effective and 8 cases invalid. The effective rate was 85.71%. (2) In the loratadine group there were 6 cases recovery,17 cases excellent,20 cases effective and 15 cases invalid, the effective rate is 74.14%. (3) In the scrapping group there were 0 cases recovery,13 cases excellent,20 cases effective and 19 cases invalid, the effective rate is 63.46%. After 12 weeks the effects of the treated patients were following:(1) In treatment group there were 16 cases recovery.18 cases excellent.15 cases effective and 7 cases invalid. The effective rate was 87.50%. (2) In the loratadine group there were 13 cases recovery,18 cases excellent,16 cases effective and 11 cases invalid. The effective rate was 81.03%. (3) In the scrapping group there were 1 cases recovery,11 cases excellent,18 cases effective and 22 cases invalid. The effective rate was 57.69%.Conclusions:The effect of treatment group was better than the other two groups and without serious reaction. So that chronic urticaria treated by scrapping and loratadine was not only more safety, reliable and simple, but also effective and faster.
