Combining past dynasties books of Chinese material medica, formulas, modern consilia together to process statistical data. Using philology methods to analysis and regulate the composition, dosage, effect and indication of Shanghan Fang.Results:Composition aspects, unite regulates the definition of Guizhi, Baishao, Lianqiao, Sangbaipi from. Dosage aspects, unite convert the jin, liang, sheng, he, chi, ge, mei, egg-like to international weight unit "g". Effect aspects, replenishing the regulation effect to Shanghan Fang. Indication aspects, unite regulates pathogenesis and syndrome which including main syndrome, secondly syndrome, accompanied syndrome (tongue, pulse).Conclusion:Composition aspects, standardization medicinal materials are regular medicine, easy to use in clinical;Dosage aspects, although convertly dosage is higher than modern medicine dosage, major medicinal materials ratio keep the same;Effect aspects, effects are more explicit after the replenishing, completing the shortage of Shanghan Fang is simple than major therapy or sum up therapy by prescription; Indication base on request of TCM standard, pathogenesis more clear.
