| Objective: To study the expression and correlation of anti-oncogene including WWOX, p63 ,p53 protein in gastric cancer,and analyze the possible mechanism of the malignant growth of gastric cancer.Methods: 70 paraffin-embeded samples of gastric cancer and 20 normal tissue from surgical resected tissues were selected.The expression of gene WWOX, p63 ,p53 protein were detected immunohistochemically. A statistical analysis was made according to the pathological datus.Results:1. Positive rate of expression of p53 protein in gastric cancer sample was 51.42%(36/70),positive rate of expression of p53 protein in normal gastric tissue was 0.00%(0/20);The difference of the expression levels was significant(X~2=17.12,p<0.05);The positive rate of expression of p53 protein in gastric cancer sample was related with the cytodifferentiation,depth invasion,lymph node metastases,clinical stages (p<0.05).2. Positive rate of expression of p63 protein in gastric cancer sample was 45.71%(32/70),positive rate of expression of p63 protein in normal gastric tissue was 0.00%(0/20);The difference of the expression levels was significant(X~2=14.19,p<0.05);The positive rate of expression of p63 protein in gastric cancer sample was related with the cytodifferentiation,and it did not related with the depth invasion,lymph node metastases,clinical stages (p>0.05).3. Positive rate of expression of WWOX protein in gastric cancer sample was 41.43%(29/70),positive rate of expression of WWOX protein in normal gastric tissue was 90.00%(18/20);The difference of the expression levels was significant(X~2=14.71,p<0.05);The positive rate of expression of WWOX protein in gastric cancer sample was related with the cytodifferentiation,depth invasion, clinical stages (p<0.05) ,and it did not related with the lymph node metastases(p>0.05).4. The negative correlation was present between WWOX and p53(r=-0.61,p<0.05), WWOX and p63(r=-0.29,p<0.05)expression;The positive correlation was present between p53 and p63(r=0.37,p<0.05) expression. Conclusion:1. Positive rate of expression of p53 protein in gastric cancer sample was high,and it was related with the cytodifferentiation,depth invasion,lymph node metastases,clinical stages,which suggested that p53 gene would closely be related with the gastric cancer development. so investigating the expression of p53 protein in gastric cancer was might useful to the early diagnosis and the early prognosis of the tumor .2. Positive rate of expression of p63 protein in gastric cancer sample was high, too. and it was related with the cytodifferentiation ,which suggested that p63 gene would be still partly related with the gastric cancer growth. 3. Positive rate of expression of WWOX protein in gastric cancer sample was much lower than normal gastric tissue ;The positive rate of expression of WWOX protein in gastric cancer sample was related with the cytodifferentiation,depth invasion, clinical stages,which illustrated that investigating the expression of WWOX protein in gastric cancer was might useful to the early diagnosis and the early prognosis of the tumor .4. The negative correlation was present between WWOX and p53, WWOX and p63 expression;The positive correlation was present between p53 and p63 expression,. Which suggested that WWOX, p63 ,p53 gene have synergistic effect in gastric cancer development. |
