【Objective】To investigate the incidence of complications of nephrotic syndrome and its influencing factors.【Methods】Dividing cases with nephrotic syndrome from fujian medical university subsidiary first hospital between January 2002 and December 2010 into five groups according to complications (infection, thromboembolism, acute renal insufficiency, lipid metabolism disorders and no complications). Then, analysing the morbidity rate and related risk factors of each group.【Results】In the all 597 cases, the incidence rate of infection, thromboembolism, acute renal insufficiency and lipid metabolic disorder are 27.14%, 3.68%, 9.38%and 67.17%, respectively. On the comparison to no complications group, L %,ALB,IgG in the infection event group are significantly lower, while N% is higher. Age,SBP,TG,VLDL and patients with hypertension in the thrombotic event group are significantly higher than those without, yet ALB is lower. The event of acute renal failure group compared with no complications, SBP, DBP, BUN, UA, TCHO, TG, LDL, VLDL, Fib are higher, however, ALB is lower. Patients with Diabetes and used diuretics in the event of acute renal failure group are significantly higher than those without complications. Despite BMI, CREA, TG, TCHO, LDL and VLDL in dyslipidemia cases are higher than control group, ALB still shows lower. What's more ,we find ALB reduction,IgG decrease are the independent risk factors for infection. For thromboembolism, TG is an independent risk factor. UA,FiB are the independent risk factors for the acute renal failure, and ALB reduction,BMI are the independent risk factors for the lipid metabolism disorders.【Conclusion】1. The incidence rate of infection, thromboembolism, acute renal insufficiency and lipid metabolic disorder in these patients are 27.14%, 3.68%, 9.38%and 67.17%, respectively. 2. ALB reduction,IgG decrease are the independent risk factors for infection, TG is an independent risk factor for thromboembolism, UA,FiB are the independent risk factors for the acute renal failure, ALB reduction,BMI are the independent risk factors for the lipid metabolism disorders .
