Clinical and pathological characeristics, including age, gender, tumor site, tumor size, tumor circumferential extent, morphological type,CEA level, histological type, lymphovascular invasion, tumor differentiation and depth of invasion were assessed. Results:The rate of lymph node metastasis was 21.3%(26/122) ;and the rate of lymph node metastasis was 13%(7/54) in shallow muscularis group, and 28%(19/68) in deep muscularis group.tumor site, morphological type, histological type, tumor differentiation and depth of invasion were risk factors for lymph node metastasis according to univariate analysis . Significant predictors of lymph node metastasis in both univariate and multivariate analysis was depth of invasion. Conclusion:The depth of invasion is important risk factor for lymph node metastasis in T2 rectal carcinoma. |
