Ueing the two herbs can treat damp-heat, Epigastric Fullness vomiting diarrhea and damp-warm syndrome. Using these can cure damp-heat and Cholera and Gastrointestinal Diseases in clinical practiceWe believe that the core of "paired herbs" compatibility theory is the mutual influence and role of active ingredients in "paired herbs". This interaction is the process of quantitative change to qualitative change of active ingredients in "paired herbs "that is the synergy and attenuation of drugs. Quantitative change reflects effective ingredient contents (percentage) changes. Qualitative change reflects effective ingredient structure changes. Therefore, we put forward the "working hypothesis":The studies of the chemical constituents of the "paired herbs" of "Coptis-Magnolia" which extracted by water or ethanol:some Peaks in Coptis and Magnolia have disappear after extracted by water or ethanol. And also,in same dosage(Feed ratio1:1),using the preparation methods of water extraction and combination in these two herbs make a great difference in the chemical constituent and having a higher peaks area than combination method..This show that the two herbs'chemical constituent after extracting in combination method,have changed. And also using the preparation methods of ethanol extraction and combination in these two herbs make same difference in the.Most of peaks have a higher peak area,but others not.This show that the chemical constintuent in "Coptis-Magnolia afer extracted have changed.In this method,it can increase the extraction efficiency.It provides an experimental basis.for follow-up experiments:Using the compatibility in different proportion of the paired herbs of Coptis-Magnolia, effective fraction and effective components(berberine-magnolol), We conducted the experiment of Senna induced diarrhea and acetic acid induced writhing in mice:These three parts have the similar effects of Antidiarrheal and Analgesia and the damp excrement inhibition rate of 50.8%-66.4%, writhing inhibition rate of 30.9%-54.8%.IN these experiments, the compatibility of 1:2 has the best effec in antidiarrheal and analgesia.Individual ingredients in effective components provides us a new research ideas,so using Chemical means to synthesize these two Compounds and comparing the efficacy of the compounds, wo can deduce that the compounds may have a similar or higher efficay than the berberine-magnolol,and also produce new Pharmacological effects.By studying Chemical synthesis of Berberine-Magnolol,indicating that selecting the main active ingredients of "Coptis-Magnolia" medicine(Berberine,Magnolol), the Chinese medicine "medicine" theory as a guide for compatibility berberine and chemical synthesis of Magnolol (depending on drugs to improve efficiency, the purpose of selectively attenuated the structural transformation and modification) is feasible;Although the design has not gained the expected product, but this method provides a new research idea to explore the essence of compatibility theory of traditional Chinese medicine "medicine".This study attempts to transform the structure of the active ingredient in the "paired herbs" of "Coptis-Magnolia", by studying the process of active ingredient in the "couplet" quantitative to qualitative change, compares the drug efficiency and attenuated.Explore the essence of compatibility theory of Chinese medicine couplet.
