Objective:This prospective study was designed to learn the syndrome differention in Traditinal Chinese Medicine and the changes of gastrointestinal hormones and psychological factors of the patients with Functional Dyspepsia in Guangzhou, and observe their relationship, so as to found the pathogenesis of Functional Dyspepsia.Methods:199 Functional Dyspepsia patients from different commuities of Gastroenterology Department from Guangzhou hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were collected. All of these patients were asked to complete the patients questionnaire cases, the SAS and SDS score sheet, the testing of gastrointestinal hormones, so as to learn the relationship between their psychological factors, gastrointestinal hormones and the syndrome differentiation in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The control group involved 50 healthy volunteers were asked to finish the SAS and SDS score sheet and the testing of gastrointestinal hormones too.Results:1,Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Differentiation of the patients with Functional Dyspepsia 33.17% of these patients involved 66 patients was spleen deficiency and liver stagnancy syndrome,31.66% of these patients involved 63 patients was spleen and stomach deficiency syndrome,21.61% including 43 patients was disharmony of liver and stomach syndrome,6.03% consisted of 12 patients was spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome,5.53% consisted of 11 patients was food stagnancy syndrome, as well as 2.01% involved only 4 patients was cold and heat mixed syndrome.2,The gastrointestinal hormones of the patients with Functional Dyspepsia Compared with healthy volunteers, LEP of the Functional Dyspepsia patients were significantly higher than healthy volunteers (p<0.05);PYY of the functional dyspepsia patients were higher, but there were no significant difference (p>0.05)3,The relationship between the syndrome of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the gastrointestinal hormones LEP of these patient with spleen deficiency and liver stagnancy syndrome, spleen and stomach deficiency syndrome, disharmony of liver and stomach syndrome,spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome, food stagnancy syndrome was significantly higher than healthy volunteers (p<0.05);LEP of the cold and heat mixed syndrome were higher than healthy volunteers, but there were no significant difference (p> 0.05). PYY of these six syndromes was higher than healthy volunteers, but there were no significant difference (p>0.05)4,The relationship between the LEP,PYY and the psychological factors LEP of FD patients who accompanied and not accompanied by anxiety or depression were significant higher than healthy volunteers (p<0.05);while PYY of these patients were higher than healthy volunteers, but there were no significant difference (p>0.05).LEP of the patients with anxiety and depression of spleen deficiency and liver stagnancy syndrome, spleen and stomach deficiency syndrome, disharmony of liver and stomach syndrome and with anxiety of spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome were significant higher than healthy volunteers (p<0.05). PYY of all these patient with 6 syndromes were higher than healthy volunteers, but there were no significant difference (p>0.05), whether they with anxiety and depression or not.Conclusion:1,For the Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome differentiation of these 199 patients with functional dyspepsia, the most was the spleen deficiency and liver stagnancy syndrome, followed by the spleen and stomach deficiency syndrome, the disharmony of liver and stomach syndrome, the spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome and the food stagnancy syndrome centered, and the cold and heat mixed syndrome at least.2,LEP and PYY are the inhibitory gastrointestinal hormones. The increas of LEP and PYY may be one of the mechanism for the functional dyspepsia.3,Besides the cold and heat mixed syndrome, LEP of the other five syndromes were significantly higher than healthy volunteers; PYY of six syndromes were higher than healthy volunteers, but there were no significant difference.4,The inhibitory gastrointestinal hormones of FD patients with psychological factors or not were significantly higher, but there was no correlation between the two things.
