| ObjectiveTo analyze prognostic relative factors affecting thetreatment outcome of intertrochanteric fractures of the aged by intramedullary fixation so as to establish the theoretic basis for a further improvement of curative effect.MethodsA total of 156 old patients with intertrochanteric fracture by intramedullary fixation admitted from 2008 to 2010 were reviewed. Their curative effect was evaluated according to Zuckerman criterion. All the clinical parameters including age, the complications before operation, the type of fracture, preoperative time, and postoperative complications were investigated as predictive risk factors, in order to find the risk factors, the data was dealt with x2 test and multivariate Logistic regression analysis (the parameters with P<0.05).ResultThe factors that played significant influence on the postoperative function include the complications before operation, the type of fracture, preoperative time and the postoperative complications. The multivariate Logistic regression analysis shows that the independent risk factors affecting functional restoration after operation are the complications before operation and type of fracture. ConclusionsThe importance of those independent factors affecting the outcome of the operative treatment significantly should be more emphasized, we have to improve the condition of the preoperative complications and body status before operation, try to reduction well, in order to improve the functional restoration and operative outcome. |
