Snail and the KISS-1 in primary ureteral carcinoma invasion and metastasis and clinical significance.Expression of Snail and KISS-1 in primary ureteral cancer and clinical significance.To analyze the role of KISS-1 and Snail expression in the development and progression of primary ureteral cancer.The expression of Kiss-1 and Snail was detected with immunohisrochemisrty in 60 specimens of primary ureteral cancer tissue and 10 specimens of normal ureter tissues as controls.Observed different levels and different tumor infiltration grade of primary ureteral carcinoma in expression between the them,and to explore the KISS-1 and Snail on the prognosis of primary ureteral carcinoma.In contrast to the normal ureter epithelial cells Snail-positive rate of 46.9%, primary ureteral carcinoma was 83.7% (P <0.05).Snail expression was positively correlated with TNM staging of primary ureteral carcinoma ,and with its histopathological grade(P <0.05).In contrast to the normal ureter epithelial cells KISS-1 positive rate of 81%, primary ureteral carcinoma was 12.9% (P <0.05).KISS-1 expression was positively correlated with TNM staging of primary ureteral carcinoma ,and with its histopathological grade(P <0.05).In primary ureteral cancer, KISS-1 and Snail was negatively correlated (P <0.05).In the patients with ureteral cancer, the expression of Snail was negatively correlated with survival (P <0.05);In the patients with ureteral cancer, the positive expression of KISS-1 was significantly correlated with survival (P <0.05);Expression of Snail protein in primary ureteral cancer may be the important reason of invasion and metastasis.The high expression of Snail protein in primary ureteral cancer may be the important reason of invasion and metastasis.The low expression of KISS-1 protein in primary ureteral cancer may be the important reason of invasion and metastasis.In primary ureteral cancer, Snail protein may inhibit the KISS-1 protein expression.The high expression of Snail and the low expression of KISS-1 may be important biological diagnosis markers of primary ureteral cancer .
