Objective:To observe the levels of serum interleukin-1β(IL-1β),inter leukin-8(IL-8) and serum amyloid A (SAA),and the relationship bet ween the levels of them and the restenosis of stent-assisted angiopl asty of intracranial and extracranial arteries.Methods:we detect the value of the IL-1β,IL-8 and SAA by ELISA teste,in 30 cases of at herosclerosis (ATS),31 cases of artery stenosis (AS) patients and 30 healthy control patients.Thirty-one patients with intracranial and ext racranial artery stenosis, admitted to our hospital from April 2008 t o March 2009,were treated with stent-assistant angioplasty and follo wed up for 6-12 months.The relationship was analyzed between the restenosis or non- restenosis in stenosis group and both the levels of serum IL-1β,IL-8 and SAA berore and 1h,1,3,5d after stent-assist edangioplasty.Results:We implanted 40 stents in the 31 patients me ntioned above. Restenosis of arteries was observed in 6/31(19.3%) p atients 6 months after the operation,the severity of restenosis was a bove 50% in 3 of them and 10-30% in remaining ones.Meanwhile, Detection results:(1) we found there were significant difference in t he levels of serum IL-1β,IL-8 and SAA between the atherosclerosis group,the artery stenosis group and the healthy group before the op eration (p<0.01,however,there is no statistically significant differenc e between restenosis group and the non-restenosis group before oper ation(P>0.05).(2)There were significant differences in the levels of the three indexes among the 6 time points using one-way ANOVA (F value=21.03,19.262,24.813 respectively)(p= 0.0001).IL-1β,IL-8 and SAA began to increase 1h after the operations and reached the max imal value 24h later.We also found significant differences in the lev els of the three indexes between 1d after the operation and the rem aining time points(p<0.05).(3)The levels of IL-1(3 and SAA have si gnificantly correlation 1h,1d,6 months after the operation,SAA and I L-8 also have good correlation 1d,6 months after;so do the levels o f IL-1βand IL-8 before and 1d,3d,6 months after the operation(p< 0.05).(4)The levels of serum IL-1β,IL-8 and SAA in restenosis grou p had no difference to those in non-restenosis group before and 1d after operation (P>0.05),but IL-8 and SAA in significantly different way between the two groups after 6 months.(P<0.05).Conclusion:P reoperative expression of IL-1β,IL-8,SAA can beused as evaluation i ndex of atherosclerosis lesions,but it is hard to effectively reflect re stenosis of target-vessel.Postoperative level of SAA continuously exp ress may be strongly linked to chronic inflammation and restenosis, and which participation in this process with IL-8.
