The Initial Sandplays Of Children Of Bad Interpersonal Communication And Exploration Of Their Clinical Diagnostic Measure

After development for a century, Sandplay Therapy which is popular in Western and Japan, has already been a mature psychotherapy technology. In recent years, Sandplay Therapy is gradually promoting whether in theoretical reseach or clinic practice in China. In the theoretical reseach, the major research method is the characters of theme sign and case research in order to explore the difference among groups on characters and the after-treating effect. In the area of clinic practice, combining with the actual condition in China, Sandplay Therapy has been applied in schools,hospitals,prisons and the training of psychological counselors, and been exploring some new forms such as groupsandplay,familysandplay. The founder of Sandplay Therapy Kalff said in the introduction to sandplay that the initial sandplay usually be more close to the consciousness, but it also presents some problems of clients. Some domestic researchers and therapists are gradually considering the initial sandplay as a potential diagnostic measure. It does not only present the problem of clients, but also offers the clues and orientation to healing. This study confirmed the clinic diagnostic funtion and provided a simple,useful analytical method for the newleaners by means of observing the difference on number of kinds of miniatures used,scenes created,characters of themes between the experimental group and the control group.To attain goals above all, this research used class opera questionnaire to pick 18 children who has excellent interpersonal communication as the control group and to pick randomly 18 children who has bad interpersonal communication as experimental group from a primary school in Jinan, Shandong province. After counseling for two months, I collected 36 initial sanplay pictures finally. Based on the characters scales which was summarized before, we analyzed and scored the characters represented in the pictures, then adopted SPSS13.0 for data statistics.The result suggested that the two groups have signifcant difference in some kinds of miniatures used,scenes created. In terms of the use of minitures, the expeimental group was significantly higher in vehicles and lower in plants,supplies than the control group. On the creation of scenes, the experimental group was significantly higher in family and lower in war than the control one; Comparing within groups, the result indicated that there are more healing and less wounding theme signs in control group, and there are no significant difference in experimental group. Comparing between groups, we found that the experimental group was significantly higher in wounding theme signs than the control group, nonetheless it's just opposite in control group. By ways of chi-square test, there are significant difference in the four small characters such as energy,hide,threat,attack. The experimental group was significant higher in hide,threat,attack and lower in energy than the control one.In the future,some characters could be considered as the key points to diagnose whether some children have bad interpersonal communication, which contain using a lot of vehicles,creating many war scenes and presenting a great deal of themes such as hide,threat,attack. They will be given special intervention and counseling for their difference from the normal children.
