| Objective:To evaluate the clinical value of laparoscopic radical cystectomy with ileal conduit diversion as compared with open surgery. Methods:The clinnical data of 19 cases (group A) receiving laparoscpic radical cystectomy with ileal conduit diversion from May,2005 to Sep,2009 and 23 cases (group B) receiving open surgery were retrospectively analyzed. Operating time, amount of bleeding during operation, recovery of intestinal function after operation, ambulation after operation, the hospital stay after operation and complications were compared between group A and group B.Results:All operations were performed successfully. In group A and group B, the results were as follow:operation time(4.81±0.75) and (4.59±0.92) hours, blood loss (560.53±261.18) and (972.60±489.37) ml, recovery time of intestnal function after operation(3.73±0.73) and (4.87±1.01) days, ambulation after operation(7.57±0.69) and (10.39±1.02) days, hospitalization time after operation(18.94±7.38) and (23.47±15.31) days, complications 2 and 5 cases. In group A, estimated blood loss, recovery of intestinal function, ambulation and the hosipital stay after operation, complications are better than those in group B (P<0.05或P<0.01).The operation time and clinical outcome are equivalent in group A and group B (P>0.05)Conclusions:Laparoscopic radical cystectomy with ileal conduit diversion is a safe and effective urinary diversion method for bladder neoplasms. |
