| Objective:To observe the treatment effects of Qizhen granules on the deficiency of liver and kidney of severe alopecia areata and to explore its mechanism. To understand the influence on the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) content of patients with peripheral blood caused by Qizhen granules in the treatment of severe alopecia areata by detecting the peripheral glucocorticoid receptor (GR) content of patients before and after treatment.Methods:90 cases of severe alopecia areata patients qualified with the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into three groups with 30 cases each. Chinese medicine group oral Qizhen granules, one dose each time and oncedaily. Western medicine group oral prednisone 0.25mg/kg,8 a.m everyday, Ranitidine Hydrochloride capsules 0.15g each time, twice a day, and the integrated Chinese and western medicine group was given Qizhen granules one dose once daily with comprehensive therapy. The treatment course was threemonths, and evaluted the treatment effect after three courses. Observed the clinical efficacy and detected peripheral glucocorticoid receptor (GR) content before and after treatment. Results:1.There were significant differences (P<0.05)of comparision of the hair loss symptom score of three groups between pre-treatment and post-treatment. After treatment, there were significant differences (P<0.05)of comparision of hair loss symptom score between integrated Chinese and western medicine group and Chinese medicine group, as well as between integrated Chinese and western medicine group and Western medicine group. There was no significant difference between Chinese medicine group and Western medicine group (P>0.05).2.There were significant differences(P<0.05)of comparision of the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) content of three groups between pre-treatment and post-treatment. After treatment, there were significant differences (P<0.05)of comparision of glucocorticoid receptor (GR) content between Western medicine group and Chinese medicine group, as well as between Western medicine group and integrated Chinese and western medicine group. There was no significant difference between Chinese medicine group and integrated Chinese and western medicine group (P>0.05).3.There were significant differences (P<0.05)of comparision of the clinical efficacy between integrated Western medicine group and Chinese medicine group, as well as between integrated Chinese and western medicine group and Western medicine group. There was no significant difference between Chinese medicine group and Western medicine group (P>0.05). Conclusion:1.There was no significant difference on the clinical effect and the improvement extent of hair loss symptoms of syndrome of deficiency of liver and kidney of severe alopecia areata between Qizhen granules and prednisone. However, the integrated group of Qizhen granules and prednisone showed most effectively on the clinical effect and the improvement extent of hair loss symptoms among the three groups.2.Qizhen granules may enhance the body's glucocorticoid (GC) sensitivity. |
