Objective:Comparison the surface roughness, surface gloss, metal-porcelain bond strength of the cobalt-chromium porcelain tooth after polished with several kinds of polishing tools commonly used internal and glazed on two methods. It will provide reference for the dentist how to choose. Methods:In this study the Vintage Halo Porcelain and IMPLANT cobalt-chromium alloy as experimental material, I made the specimen in accordance with the provisions of the international standard ISO9693 on three-point bend specimen. After casting wax-embedded, metal substrate pretreatment, the metal substrate oxidation, mask layer sintering, the ceramic sintering, glazing and other production processes produced the specimens; all operations by the same person. There are a total of 9 groups in this study, the specimen produced were divided into 8 groups of 6 specimens, group 9 is the natural tooth as comparison;the 1,3,5 groups of specimens are polished first with green silicon carbide sand, white sand alumina, polished with Softcut tools in turn from coarse to fine, then polished with Toboom, Edenta, Shofu porcelain polishing Polishing tools;the 2,4,6 groups of specimens are polished first with green silicon carbide sand, white sand alumina, then polished with Toboom, Edenta, Shofu porcelain polishing Polishing tools;Fine polishing the before 6 groups are used Ceramaster; Group 7 are polished with green sand, white sand, then them auto-glazed;Section 8 are polished with green sand, white sand, vitreous enamel glazed as comparison; the group 9 are natural teeth polished with the silicon particle as comparison, group selection of natural normal color of enamel no pigmentation, no caries, no defects in maxillary central incisors of young 6, from the extraction maxillary central incisors teeth that can not be retained for periodontal disease or more teeth.Polishing tools are adjusted pre-polishing with Qingjie emery, finishing and polishing are recommended by manufacturers to the highest speed, every step of the polishing tools are the most visually polished to smooth so far, all polished by the same person. After each step of polishing, the surface roughness are measured with TR220 roughness tester, the surface gloss measured with Novo-CurveALG60C; After the green sand, white sand polished, sanded using Softcut polishing tools, polishing is not used Softcut after polishing tools and glazing of a randomly selected one sample of four specimens, coated with gold for scanning after 20 seconds electron microscope.Measured and compared the surface roughness and surface specular gloss of 1~6 groups on different sets of polishing tools of porcelain, and the section 7 and section 8 unpolished, and the section 9 natural teeth; Measured and compared the metal-porcelain bond strength of the cobalt-chromium porcelain tooth after different treatment with three-point bending test.Result1.The surface roughness have steadily decreased of the first 6 groups of specimens after polished with different tools in turn from coarse to fine; The surface roughness of all groups after polished with the Ceramaster fine polishing tool have stabilized; The surface roughness was not significantly different (P>0.05), between No.1,3,5 and the control group of glazed porcelain. The surface roughness were significantly different (P<0.05), between No.2,4,6 and the control group of glazed porcelain. The surface roughness of group 8 vitreous glazed were less than the group 7 auto-glazed (P<0.05). 2.The final ceramic surface gloss of the specimens was no significant different (P>0.05), between the groups 1-6 after different polishing procedures, the mirror gloss of polishing group was significantly lower than the glaze gloss (P<0.05), but higher than the surface gloss enamel (P<0.05).3.The metal-porcelain bond strength of the cobalt-chromium porcelain teeth after polished and glazed were no significant different(P>0.05)Conclusion:1.The surface of porcelain teeth after polished with reasonable tools, polishing process, can achieve the same effect with glazed.2.When grinding more the vitreous enamel glazing are effective than the auto-glazing3.The metal-porcelain bond strength of the cobalt-chromium porcelain teeth after polished and glazed were no different. Through this research selecting the appropriate special porcelain polishing tool can meet the needs of clinical treatment with smooth surface in the clinical dental ceramic restoration trimmed trying on...
