Objective:Rigorous clinical research design, including selection of a more authoritative diagnosis of exclusion, efficacy assessment standards, through the use of electro-acupuncture combined treatment group massage traction method of acupuncture treatment in the control group simply observed the two sets of clinical nerve root type the therapeutic effect of cervical spondylosis, through the clinical symptoms and signs of improvements, to assess treatment group, electroacupuncture combined with massage traction value of combination therapy and to explore its mechanism.Methods:In September 2008 to December 2009 in Taiwan Tsung Italian patients with Chinese medicine clinics, according to inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, select the nerve root type cervical spondylosis were 70 cases. By completely digital method of randomly divided into two groups, each group of 35 cases. The treatment group were treated with electroacupuncture combined with massage traction, traction first, and then OK acupuncture and electro-acupuncture treatment, massage the last line of the entire complex; the control group using a simple acupuncture methods, and then the symptom score were observed.Results:(1) Treatment group cure rate and total effective rates were 57.14%and 88.57%, while the control group were 48.57% and 77.14%; (2) Both groups after treatment, in aspects of pain, numbness, symptoms, discomfort, discomfort and impact of work live scoring,which significantly lower than those before treatment. With significant difference (P<0.01); the difference between the two groups before and after treatment points in the pain, discomfort, discomfort improvement in the treatment group was significantly better than the control group, two-phase than to have a very significant difference (P <0.01). In the numbness symptom, affecting work-life improvements, the treatment group was also superior to the control group, two significant differences compared (P<0.05); (3) Two groups of patients with physical examination, muscle strength, medical history, pulse and tongue X ray (CT) Composite score than the scoring significantly lower before treatment, the difference has a significant (P<0.05), while the difference between the two groups before and after treatment compared with no significant difference (P> 0.05).Conclusion:The treatment group and control group can improve symptoms, but the treatment group electroacupuncture combined with massage and traction therapy is superior to the control group the efficacy of acupuncture treatment alone.
