Objective To study the homogeneity, epidemiology and resistance of the hospital acquired infection caused by Acinetobacer baumannii isolates. Methods The case information and strains of patients with infection caused by Acinetobacer baumannii from CCU and ICU in our hospital from July to October 2009 were collected. The pulse-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) was used for genotyping of 16 strains of Acinetobacer baumannii, to determine whether they derived from the same clone. Drug paper diffusion method (K-B) was used in susceptibility testing, and resistance was analysed. Results 16 strains of Acinetobacer baumannii were classified into 5 types based on PFGE profiles.CCU contained 3 types, the types from both departments didn't have connection genetically.4 strains of Acinetobacer baumannii of CCU from the patients belong to 2 types, and each 2 strains has the homogeneity, the one from the environment in CCU belongs to one type.It showed that cross-infection in CCU may be exsited. The clone of 7 strains of ICU have one more string than the clone of another 3 strains.10 strains of Acinetobacer baumannii have highly homogeneity, and they belong to one clone. The one strain from the environment in ICU belongs to 1 type. The 4 strains of Acinetobacer baumannii of CCU were all sensitive to the normal antibiotics, The 10 strains of Acinetobacer baumannii of ICU were almostly all resisitant to the normal antibiotics. The resistance rate of Acinetobacer baumannii to Ceftazidime, Cefepime, Ciprofloxacin, Meropenem,Imipenem were all 100.0%, and the sensitivity rate of Acinetobacer baumannii to Minocycline was only 60.0%.Conclusions The infection of Acinetobacer baumannii of the both departments didn't have direct homogeneity. The epidemics of the hospital acquired infection caused by Acinetobacer baumannii from CCU and ICU were both exsited. The investigation showed that environmental pollution, cross infection,Inadequate disinfection and isolation measures may be the infectious factors. The strains of Acinetobacer baumannii from patients of ICU were all pan-drug resistant. The situation of hospital acquired infection caused Ly Acinetobacer baumanmi is still rigorous, we need to control nosocomial infection and make the antibiotics used correctly.
