| Objective To explore diagnosis and treatment of postoperative intra-abdominal residual infection. Methods By retrospective research of 44 cases with intra-abdominal residual infection,to explore the symptoms, signs and treatment of intra-abdominal residual infection, and to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of intra-abdominal residual infection. Results 40 cases (90.9%) were cured by drainage of residual infection,3 patients were cured by conservative treatment,1 patient died, average hospital stays were 55.4 days. there was a significant difference between treatment by antibiotics alone and treatment by antibiotics and drainage combined (X2=32.29,P<0.01).Conclusions Early diagnosis and correct positioning of postoperative intra-abdominal residual infection are essential for the prognosis, early drainage of residual abscess and appropriate antibiotics are the keys to heal intra-abdominal residual infection, minimally invasive treatment by using of B-ultrasonography or CT can reduce the trauma and solve the problem sometimes surgery can not, placing poly tube and continual drainage of residual intra-abdominal infection is sometimes a good choice. |
