The Comparison Study About The Two Methods Of Olecranon Plate And Tension Band In The Application Of Olecranon Fracture

Objective: Through researching the information of my hospital cases in the past ten years,to evaluation the treatment of olecranon fracture with olecranon plate and.At the same time, through the review of the literature to study the anatomical and physiological characteristics of olecranon fracture, what we should pay attention to the treatment of olecranon fracture.Method: retrospective researching 58 olecranon fracture cases that have be treated by this two operations, including 32 olecranon plate,26 cases in tension band group. By tracking asked about the patients'recovery of postoperative elbow function ,to learn therapeutic effect of the two operations, with the standard Broberg[1] have proposed: excellent:normal activities of elbow flexion,or only a decrease of 5 degrees less than the contralateral,forearm rotation function was normal,no pain; good:the activities of elbow flexion 20 degrees or less worse than the contralateral,limited forearm rotation is not obvious,no pain; ordinary:the activities of elbow flexion 20 degrees was preserved,45 degrees of forearm rotation function preserved,no pain or little pain; poor:activities elbow flexion and forearm rotation less than 45 degrees,the elbow pain. Using statistical analysis to analyze the characteristics and efficacy of the two case..Result: All the cases are more than 8 months after operation,it needs 2.9 months average to get current effect, The average time the pain disappeared after operation is 5 months,fracture healing time was not got due to incomplete data cases,some cases not yet been removed the steel plate two years after operation,the earliest removal of internal fixation is 6 months.According to the standard above, olecranon plate group: excellent: 24 cases,good:5cases,ordinary: 2case,poor:1 case, excellent and good rate:90.6% ;tension band group: excellent:20cases,good:4case, ordinary: 2case,poor:0 case excellent and good rate:92.3%; Clinical effects of two treatment methods was no significant difference.Conclusion: The two fixation of tension band and olecranon plate are all effective,there is no difference in efficacy,we can use one of them to cure olecranon fracture according different needs and different types of olecranon fracture.
