| Objective To estimate the early change of the function of renal glomerular filtration in neonates with ABO hemolytic disease by measuring serum Cys C,SCr,BUN and calculating GFR by using Schwartz formular, and find out which is the best marker to estimate the renal glomerular function of patients with ABO hemolytic disease of newborn (HDN).Methods Sixty resident interms who is 0-1 days old in Shandong Provincical Hospital were analysed in this retrospective study. In the above patients, thirty neonates with ABO hemolytic disease who had the complain for suffering jaundice within 24 hours after birth comprise the case group;and the others who were normal after routine examinations comprise the control group. We measured the serum Cys C, SCr, BUN of the neonates all of whom were empty in these two groups respectively at 8am on the second day after their birth in admission.,and calculate GFR by using the Schwartz formular. We compared the differences of the four markers between these two groups respectively. Results The difference between the serum Cys C of the control group and the case group is not significant (T=-0.90, P=0.3709, P>0.05),and the difference between the BUN of the two groups is not significant (H=0.4043, P=0.5249, P>0.05),either.While the differences between the SCr (H=4.6287, P=0.0314, P<0.05) and GFR(Schwartz) (H=4.7238, P=0.0297, P<0.05) of the two groups are significant respectively. Conclusions This study demonstrates that:The renal glomerular function does not hurt apparently in early ABO HDN,and serum Cys C and BUN are better markers to assess the renal glomeruler function of the patients with ABO HDN than SCr and GFR(Schwartz). |
