Significance Of Pathological S Tudy In Patients With Medically Intractable Temparol Lobe Epilepsy

Objective:To study the relationship between mitochondria change and neuronal degeneration in temparol lobe epilepsy.Methods:Collect thirty specimens of intractable temparol lobe epilepsy patients which operated in Fuzhou General Hospital.thirty specimens were divided into two groups: HS and non- HS on the basis of neuronal deaths in hippocampus. Clinical data were collect in preoperative which include ages of onset ,operation and brain injured.( The brain injured include febrile convulsion,encephalitis,HIE, intracranial hemorrhage and craniocerebral trauma )The specimens were obtained in operating room ,The same one were fixed in different ways and observed in light microscope and electron microscope.Results:1.observation in pathohistology neuronal deaths, gliacyte hyperplasia and neurotropic of gliacyte in hippocampus were observed in light microscope,2.observation in Electron microscopy karyopyknosis,significant mitochondrial swelling, breakage and disappearance of mitochondria crista, vacuolar degeneration and disruption of the outer membrane of mitochondria were observed in Electron microscopy.Conclusion:brain injured is a Significant element in the cause of epilepsy The more erlier ages of onset and longer course of disease,The more easier caused hip-pocampal sclerosis. So the protective of brain injured and early treatment is very important for the epilepsy patients.
