Western blotting was used to evaluate the expression levels of oligomer and monomer 24 hours later.Results Western blotting indicated that the oligomer was disrupted in experiment group while the corresponding monomer expression level was increased compared with control group, the difference statistically significant.Conclusions NSC348884 disrupts nucleophosmin oligomer formation specially in hepatocellular carcinoma cell line HepG2, resulting in the formation of monomer.Key words NSC348884, Nucleophosmin, hepatocellular carcinoma cell line, HepG2, western-blot Part 2 Effects of NSC348884 on the biological behavior of hepatocellular carcinoma cell line HepG2Objective To investigate the effects of NSC348884 on the biological behavior of hepatocellular carcinoma cell line HepG2.Methods Hepatocellular carcinoma cell line HepG2 were treated with different concentrations of NSC348884. MTT assay was used to assess cell viability. Flow cytometry (FCM) was adopted to evaluate the cell apoptosis.Results MTT assay indicated that the proliferation of hepatocellular carcinoma cell line HepG2 was inhibited obviously at a dose-dependant manner.
