| ObjectivesTo investigate the expression of HMGA1 in the patients with lung squamous cancer and its clinical prognostic significanceMethodsThe expression level of HMGA1 in 47 patients with lung squamous cancer and 8 cases of control lung tissue was detected by immunohistochemistry and its corelation to clinic pathological paramter was analyzed statistically。ResultPositive rates of HMGA1 protein was 68.1%(32/47)and 12.5%(1/8)in lung cancer and in lung tissue of control group, respectively, and the difference was significant(P<0.05); No significant relationship was found between HMGA1 and patients sex or age (P>0.05).ConclusionsThe progression of the lung cancer may relate with the increase of HMGA1 expression. It's promising for HMGA1 to become a new marker for diagnosis of lung squamous carcinoma. Clinical detecting of HMGA1 could help with prognosis and treatment-guiding of lung squamous cancer. |
