| ObjectiveTo investigate the value of CT staging.MethodsThe preoperative CT data of 75 cases of renal cell carcinoma were reviwed with comparative studies of operative and pathologic finding. CT manifestations of renal cell carcinoma were reviwed and evaluated.ResultsAgreement between MDCT and surgical-histopathologic staging was good (KAPPA=0.775) by the data analysis with SPSS.ConclusionsThe multiplanar and three-dimensional reconstruction capability of MDCT provides good delineation and characterization of the RCC tumor, including evaluation of the presence and extent of renal venous involvement. But visualization of infiltration of the perinephric fat is still poor. And involvement of lymph nodes by tumor remains difficult to predict. |
