| ObjectiveAnalyze the expression of Dicer in serous ovarian carcinoma.120 serous ovarian carcinoma cases which were after operated have been invested to analyze the clinical characteristics and biological factors by univariate and multivariate analysis in order to evaluate the effect of clinical factors and biological factor to serous ovarian carcinoma and select the most significant factor for serous ovarian carcinoma prognosis. It is significant for prognosis judgment and systematic treatment of serous ovarian carcinoma.MethodInvestigated the Dicer protein expression in the serous ovarian carcinoma tissues using immunohistochemical staining. Analyze the clinical and biological factors which possible influence ovarian carcinoma prognosis by univariate and multivariate analysis through COX proportional hazard regression model..Result1.120 serous ovarian carcinoma cases were invested,101 of which were followed-up successfully. The three-year survival rate was 45.54%. The five-year survival rate was 31.68%.2. Tha expression of Dicer was down-regulation from normal to SACA tissues. Dicer was detected positive expression in all the normal ovarian tissues. In serous cystadenoma, borderline serous cystadenoma and SACA, the positive rate of Dicer was 92.31% (12/13),7/9 (7/9),22.5% (27/120) separately. The difference is significant(X2=49.934, P<0.01). The differences of Dicer positive expression between normal ovarian tissues and SACA (X2=24.994, P<0.01), serous cystadenoma and SACA (X2=27.580, P<0.01), borderline serous cystadenoma and SACA (X2=13.180, P=0.01) are significant. However, the differences between normal ovarian tissues and serous cystadenoma(X2=0.725, P=1.0). normal ovarian tissues and borderline serous cystadenoma (X2=2.25, P=0.471), serous cystadenoma and borderline serous cystadenoma (X2=0.953, P=0.544) are not significant. The positive expression of Dicer is associated with clinical and operate period, tissue stage(P<0.05), but not associated with menopause and lymph node transmission (P>0.05).3.
