Objective:To develop and validate a Digital navigation template of cervical pedicle stereotaxy by Rapid prototyping and Reverse Engineering, Application of experiment cervical specimens to Verify the accuracy of navigation templates, and compared with free hand technology Verify the superiority of navigation templates. Through further test the feasibility, accuracy and superiority by clinical application. Methods:The 20 cervical specimens were randomly divided two groups, By one orthopedic surgeons with lumbar pedicle screws without a cervical pedicle screw placement experience, Respectively using navigation template and free hand technology of cervical pedicle screw placement. The accuracy of screw placement was postoperative CT scanning. Results:Navigation template group successfully designed and produced 70 digital navigation templates,Assisted cervical pedicle screw placement 140,Postoperative CT scan showed that all screws are fully located within the pedicle, Accuracy of pedicle screws 100%, Free hand group was 38.6%, Navigation template group and free hand group the accuracy of pedicle screws was statistically significant (P<0.05), A total of 18 patients were placement pedicles screws 98, Postoperative CT scan showed 100% success screw. Conclusion:Cervical Pedicle screw placement assisted by digital navigation templates is highly accurate and simple which is a new alternative to conventional technique. |
