| ObjectivesTo investigate the expressions of survivin, PTTG and their clinical significance in gastric cancer.MethodsExpressions of survivin in 48 gastric cancer groups and adjacent nontumorous gastric group were detected by Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction,Meanwhile, expressions of PTTG in 48 gastric cancer group and adjacent nontumorous gastric group were detected by Ultrasensitive Streptavidin Peroxidase immunohistochemistry staining. Associate with clinical pathological parameters to analysis the relationship and correlation of them with gastria carcinoma.χ2, Mann-Whitney Test And Mann-Whitney Test were used to analyze the data, there is a statistical significance when P<0.05.ResultsThe positive expression rate of survivin in gastric cancer group and adjacent nontumorous gastric group was 60.4%( 29/48),22.9%( 11/48)respectively. Moreover, the expression rate of survivin in gastric cancer group was higher than that of the adjacent nontumorous gastric group (P<0.05). There was no significant correlation between the expression of survivin in gastric cancer and the sex, age, the depth of invasion, differentiation degree and Borrmann's type(P>0.05) except TNM stages, lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). The positive expression rate of PTTG in gastric cancer group and adjacent nontumorous gastric group was 54.2%(26/48)and 12.5%(6/48)respectively. Moreover, the expression rate of PTTG in gastric cancer group was higher than that of the adjacent nontumorous gastric group (P<0.05). There was no significant correlation between the expression of PTTG in gastric cancer and, sex, age, Borrmann's type, the depth of invasion . However, the positive rate of PTTG was significantly correlated with the differentiation degree, lymph node metastasis and TNM stages(P<0.05). There was a positive correlation between the expression of survivin and PTTG,as proved by the correlation tes(trs=0.555,P <0.01).ConclusionsSurvivin and PTTG were over-expressed in gastric cancertissues. The progression of gastric cancer was related to the up-regulation of expression of survivin and PTTG. The expression of survivin and PTTG has a close correlation. survivin and PTTG detection maybe helpful to evaluate the capability of the tumor invasion, metastasis in gastric cancer. They are indexes to know the biological behavior of gastric cancer and serve as fairly good markers for prognosis and therapy. |
