| ObjectiveTo investigate the surgical methods of endoscopic resection of juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma(JNA).MethodThe clinical datas of 9 patients diagnosed with JNA from July 2006 to July 2009 were analyzed, aged from 11~26yrs,1 for stageⅣ,4 for stageⅢ,and 4 for stageⅡ.ResultThe operative time was from 1h15m-5h35m,the blood loss was from 150 to 2200ml,no intraoperative and perioperative complications occurred.Postoperative follow-up period from 4 months to 36 months(mean 15 months),no recurrence or residual tumor were found, operative cavities were well epithelized, the surrounding structure without any anatomical abnormalities or dysfunction.ConclusionOur results confirm that nasal endoscopy or endoscopy mainly resection of JNA can be used as the best preferred method;endoscopic surgery for JNA of stageⅢwith dual blood supply is feasible;preoperative embolization, intraoperative controlled hypotension, and reasonable surgical strategy are to ensure the success of the operation. |
