Study On Influencing Factor For Hospital Patients' Medical Cost In The Maternity Insurance In Hunan Province

Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence factors of the hospital patients' medical costs for the maternity insurance;to clarify the impact of the influence factors on the hospital patients' medical costs for the reform of maternity insurance.Methods:A retrospective observational study is carried out on the database of all the patients' case history between 2005-2007 in 10 hospitals in hunan. Single factor analysis and Multiplicity is used to evaluate the impact on the medical costs for maternity insurance.Results: 1 .The influence factors of medical costs in descending order are the length of days,age,childbirth style,hospitals' grade,parity, pregnancy disease,employment,multiple pregnancy,gestational age.2. 13-143 hospital days' cost more than 1-3,4-8,9-12 days', Cesarean section's cost more than spontaneous delivery and instrumental vaginal delivery's, 35-49 years old is cost much more than 22-29 years old and 30-34 years old's, three grade hospital'cost more than two and one grade hospital's, primip's cost more than multipara's, pregnancy disease's more than normal's, company workers'cost more than civil servants and workers', multiple pregnancy's more than single birth's, premature birth's more than term infant's.Conclusions: The influence factors of medical costs in descending order are the length of days,age, childbirth style,hospitals' grade,parity, pregnancy disease, employment, multiple pregnancy, gestational age.
