| Objective:To study the prediction and diagnosis value of CAVI( cardio-ankle vascular index) in coronary arteriosclerosis , compared with Max IMT (max carotid intima-media thickness ) and Mean IMT(mean carotid intima-media thickness)Methods:The Patients with chest pain syndrom and suspceted diagnosis of coronary diseases were included in our study,.ALL patients underwent coronary angiography(CAG),blood samples analysis,CAVI,Max IMT and Mean IMT examination..According to the results of coronary angiography and Gensini score, subjects were divided into 3 groups (group I:with the score of 0;group II:with the score of 1-80;group III: with the score of 81-160 ).Blood samples,CAVI,Max IMT and Mean IMT were measured before CAG operation. Results: 166 consecutive patients were enrolled in the current study ,there is no significant difference in triglyceride and high-density lipoprotein among the 3 groups(P>0.05),but the difference in age, body mass index(BMI),low-density lipoproteins(LDL),total cholesterol(TC),HbA1c(glycosylated hemoglobin-A1c) is significan(tP<0.05), the value of CAVI,Max IMT and Mean IMT of the group III were significant higher than that of the other 2 groups, and The value of CAVI,Max IMT and Mean IMT of the group II than those of the group I(P<0.05), ROC (receiver operating characteristic curve )analysis of Mean IMT,Max IMT and CAVI showed that the area under the ROC defined by CAVI was the greatest among the 3 indexes.CAVI,Max IMT and Mean IMT were positively associated with Gensini score ,the values of"r"were 0.56,0.41,0.32(P<0.05)respectively。Univariate analysis showed that CAVI was associated with age, body mass index(BMI),hypertension(HP),diabetes mellitus(DM),smoking, systolic BP,PP,HbA1c,and TC, multivariate analysis showed that CAVI was associated with age,BMI,HP and DM.Conclusions:compared with Max IMT and Mean IMT ,CAVI is significantly associated with the severity of coronary atherosclerosis ,which is a stronger predictor of a coronary therosclerosis ,and can be used as a screening tool for coronary atherosclerosis。... |
