Objective:To study and evaluate the improvement of the menstrual cycle and clinical conditions associated with the treatment of SKYD.Method:To treat 35 cases of patients that present with SKYD type of post menstrual problems with WenJingTang granules.To assess and evaluate the clinical presentations before and after treatment,comparing the results of treatment,the menstrual cycle and changes of the BBT.Result:There is marked improvement to the clinical conditions of the patients.The menstrual cycle had increased(P<0.05);the SKYD symptoms had improved (P<0.05).Through clinical tests,the BBT changes is distinct(P<0.05). The cases were divided into groups according to age group,duration of the disease and severity of the disease.Treatment results were similar for all the 3 different age groups(P<0.05).The cases were also classified into mild,moderate and severe cases. Comparison of the clinical results between the mild and moderate cases was similar too.Comparisons were also made to cases based on duration of the disease.Groups between 6 to 12 months and those more than 1 year,and those less than 6 months and between 6 to 12 months were compared showed that treatment results were similar too.Thus,proved that the clinical results were not affected by the duration of the disease.Conclusion:The therapeutic efficacy of WenJinTang decoction for the treatment of the SKYD type of post menstrual syndrome is 94.4%.It can improve the menstrual cycle,reduce the menstrual flow,treat dysmenorrhoea and weakness of the lower back and knee,reduce chills,fatigue and temperature changes.The clinical study shows that there is no significant difference to the clinical results with regards to the age group,duration of disease and severity of the problem.
