Objective: To observe the improvable effects of Yishentongluo Decoction (YSTLD) on the relative proteins and serum biochemical criterions of rats with nephrotic syndrome, and discuss its curative effects and mechanism on nephritic syndrome.Methods: In this experimental research, rats were produced by injecting with cationic bovine serum albumin (C-BSA) into tail veins for several times. 60 SD rats were randomly divided into 6 groups: model group; Shenyansiwei Tablet group; YSTLD group respectively at high, moderate and low doses; normal control group, ten rats each. Observe the 24-hour urinary protein volume, serum total protein, albumin, serum cholesterol, triglycerides, serum creatinine, urea nitrogen after being instilled with YSTLD for 4 weeks. Results: 1.Compared with the normal group, in model group, rats' 24-hour urinary protein volume, serum cholesterol, triglycerides, serum creatinine, urea nitrogen had obviously increased (P<0.01 or p<0.05), serum total protein, albumin had obviously reduced(P<0.01).2. Compared with the model group, in each administrated group, rats' 24-hour urinary protein volume, serum cholesterol, triglycerides, serum creatinine, urea nitrogen had remarkably reduced, serum total protein, albumin had obviously increased, which had significant difference (P<0.01 or p<0.05). It showed that, all administrated groups had the effects of alleviating renal damage, improving low protein syndrome, reducing blood fat.3. Compared with the Shenyansiwei Tablet group, criterions in YSTLD groups had significant difference (P<0.01 or p<0.05), which pointed out that effects in YSTLD groups are better than Shenyansiwei Tablet group, especially in YSTLD high group and moderate group.Conclusions: Yishentongluo Decoction can obviously reduce 24-hour urinary protein volume, improve low protein syndrome, regulate lipid metabolic disturbance, protect renal function. It has curative effects on rats with nephrotic syndrome. Its functionary mechanism may concluded as follows: Through recuperate permeability of renal glomerulus, reduce the loss of albumin from urine, promote the liver to increase the compound of protein, consequently improve the level of serum protein, reduce urinary protein volume; inhibit the compound of cholesterol and triglycerides, lower blood fat; reduce the damage of renal glomerulus caused by urinary protein, decrease infiltration of inflammatory corpuscle, in order to improve renal function.
