| Purpose:To investigate the correlation between the expression of HDGF in pancreatic carcinoma and clinicopathological factors and explore the prognostic significance of the expression of HDGF for patients with pancreatic carcinoma. Methods:The expression and distribution of HDGF were analyzed byimmunohistochemistry(Streptavidin-Perosidase method) in 30 cases ofpancreatic cancer and adjacent tissues as well as 11 cases of normalpancreatic tissues. The obtained data was statistically analyzed with SPSS17.0 Statistical analysis software to study the correlation between the expression of HDGF in pancreatic carcinoma andclinicopathological factors.Results:1.The positive rate of HDGF in the caryon of pancreaticcarcinoma(90%) was higher than that of adjacent tissues(20%) and normal pancreatic(0%) respectively(P<0.01),and the positive rate of HDGF in the cytoplasm of pancreatic carcinoma(76.7%) was also higher than that of adjacent tissues(16.7%) and normal pancreatic (9.1%) respectively(P<0.01).2.The positive rate of HDGF in the caryon of pancreatic carcinoma was correlated with the tumor pathological grouping(P<0.01),but not related with age, gender, location of tumor,T(PTNM),lymph node metastasis, venous invasion, serum CEA,and serum CA19-9,etc(P>0.05).The positive rate of HDGF in the cytoplasm had nothing to do with the above-mentioned clinicopathologic factors(P>0.05).3.The univariate survival analysis:the median survival period of the HDGF negative expression group in caryon(fifty-eight months) was significantly higher than that of the HDGF low expression group (thirty-two months) and the HDGF high expression group(twelve months).Meanwhile, one year survival rate(100%) of the HDGF negative expression group in caryon(fifty-eight months) was significantly higher than that of the HDGF low expression group(92%) and the HDGF high expression group(50%). 4.The multivarate survival analysis:Cox proportional hazards regression model was used for the analysis, the variables included gender, age, tumor staging(PTNM),pathological typing, lymph node metastasis, venous nvasion, serum CEA,serum CA19-9,nucleus HDGF expression, cytoplasm HDGF expression, etc. The results showed that HDGF expression in caryon and tumor staging can be regarded as two independent prognostic factors for pancreatic cancer.1.The expression of HDGF in pancreatic carcinoma was significantlyhigher than that in adjacent tissues and normal pancreatic tissue, indicating that HDGF was closely related to the occurrence of pncreatic cancer.2.The expression of HDGF in caryon had relationship with pathological typing of pancreatic cancer.3.The expression of HDGF in caryon could be regarded as an independent prognostic factor for pancreatic ductal carcinoma. |
