Objective To study the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and evaluate the effect of Avastin to the inhibition of the cell on laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma in vitro. Methods Establishment of the culture on laryngeal squamous carcinoma cell and laryngeal squamous carcinoma cell was observed with immunofluorescent histochemistry. To study the expression character of the laryngeal squamous carcinoma cell. The effect of avastin was detected by methyl thiazolyl terazolium (MTT) assay. Hoechst 33342 staining were adopted to explore the killing mechanism of avastin. Results VEGF obvious expressed in the laryngeal squamous carcinoma cytoplasm. Compared with control group, Avastin inhibitive effects of the growth of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma had the statistical difference (P<0. 05). The killing effect of Avastin for laryngeal squamous carcinoma cell increased with the increase of the drug concentration. Conclusion The protein of VEGF mainly expressed in laryngeal squamous carcinoma cytoplasm. Avastin had direct effect on laryngeal squamous cell in vitro. The method of theraping laryngeal squamous carcinoma was provided by Avastin of the the new-type antitumor drug.
