Objective:To measure the concentrations of urinary TFF1 in urolithiasis patients and normal controls,analyze them with the data of stone element,stone size,age, sex etc.and explore the pathogenesis and prevention of urolithiasis.Methods:50 patients of urolithiasis from the department of urology,Zhongshan Hospital Fudan University between December 2007 and December 2008 were selected, and 20 adult with the similar agesex composition select were selected as normal controls.Fresh urine from each group were collected,and the concentrations of urinary TFF1 were measured by ELISA.Meanwhile the stone element of each patients were analyzed by infrared spectrometry,and the data of stone size, age,sex etc.were also collected.Statistics analysis of the data all above were made with the method of independent sample T-test and S-N-K test by the software SPSS 17.0.Result:1.The concentrations of urinary TFF1 in urolithiasis patients were significantly lower than those in normal healthy controls at statistics, (2.65±1.09/6.18±2.49 ng/mL,urolithiasis patients/normal controls, P<0.001).2.The concentrations of urinary TFF1 in urolithiasis patients have no statistic association with sex,age,and stone size.3.The concentrations of urinary TFF1 in patients with uric acid stones were higher than those with calcium oxalate and carbonate apatite stones at statistics,(4.31±0.84/2.44±1.00/2.64±0.63 ng/mL,uric acid stones/calcium oxalate stones/carbonate apatite stones,P<0.001,P=0.003).4.The concentrations of urinary TFF1 in patients with single stones were lower than those with multi-stone and double-side at statistics,(1.68±0.60/ 2.78±1.17/3.16±0.84 ng/mL,single stones/multi-stone/double-side, P=0.001,P<0.001).Conclusion:1.The concentrations of urinary TFF1 in urolithiasis patients were significantly lower than those in normal healthy controls at statistics,it can inhibit the stone formation.2.TFF1 may has an inhibitor selectively to the calcium stones.3.Once the stone formation completed,TFF1 only has little inhibit effect to the stones growth.
