| ObjectiveHongyou ointment gauze strip and Etavitrol gauze strip, respectively,were used for hemorrhoid fistula after dressing change,were observed after the healing wound.Comparison between the two on the clinical efficacy of wound dressing.Materials and MethodsA retrospective review of 140 patients with hemorrhoids and fistula of raw surface accrete was conducted in the Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) in Hubei province and Wuhan No.1 Hospital from 2007.03-2008.12.72 pou were treated undergone operation of perianal abscess or anal fistula by change dressing with Hongyou ointment gauze strip,and 68 pou were treated by change dressing with Etavitrol gauze strip by the same way with Hongyou ointment gauze strip.Hongyou ointment group consisted of 72 cases,of them male were 48 cases and female were 24 cases,with the age of patients from 16 to 78 years old.Among the total cases anal fistula were 43,and perianal abscess were 29.The average age was 47±8.42. Etavitrol group consisted of 68 cases,of them male were 46 cases, and female were 22 cases,including of 37 anal fistula cases,31 perianal abscess cases,at the age of patients was 20￣73 with the average age of 45±7.64.Two patients course of the disease was at 3day￣6month..The patients involved did not suffered from anemia,liver and renal function disfunction,heart and cerebrovascular disease, diabetes and TB.The difference between the two groups on sex, age,the course of disease,entity,the style of operation were not significant(P＞0.05).All cases of a particular disease used caudal anesthesia or local infiltration anesthesia.The low-set anal fistula or perianal abscess took to cut open,superior position anal fistula or perianal abscess took to cut open and hang line.After operation sequentiluce began to change dressings.The process of the change dressing was below.First,take the warm water of salt to bathe 20 minutes;second,the raw surface was clean by sterile saline,and third,take two kinds of ointment to paint on a proper size of germ free yarn stick and stick in raw surface once a day.Two groups of patients were all drop infused antibiotics into vena for 3 to 7 days after operation.The details of the raw surface of areas,depth and dropsy,pain degree and growth granulation were observed and analyzed..Results1.There were 23(31.95%) patients fully recovered,among them 35(48.61%) patients got an excellent effect,8(11.11%) patients got general effect and 6(8.33%) patients did not get any effect in the total of 72 patients treated by Hongyou ointment.However, there were 17(25.0%) patients fully recovered,among them 11(16.18%) patients got an excellent effect,32(47.06%) patients got general effect and 8(11.76%) patients did not get any effect in the total 68 patients treated with Etavitrol.All the cases had no any adverse effect.2.After treated with Hongyou ointment,the average heal time of surface were 12～28days in the case of anal fistula operation,10～25days in the case of perianal abscess operation.While treated with Etavitrol,the average heal time of surface were 17￣33 days in the case of anal fistula operation,15￣30 days in the case of perianal abscess operation.The average heal time of raw surface was from 11 to 26.5 days by using Hongyou ointment,while it is from 16 to 21.5 days by using Etavitrol.Therefore,it is 5 days shorter by using Hongyou ointment than by using Etavitrol with no obviously untoward effects.The heal time of raw surface was significant different between the two groups.3.In the cases of the patient treated with Hongyou ointment, the symptom integration before treatment was 6.52±4.23,while after treatment it was 2.25±0.68.In the case of the patient treated with Etavitrol,the symptoms integration before treatment was 6.37±4.12,and after treatment it was 3.48±1.04.The symptom integration was significant different before and after treatment in the same group(P＜0.001),and the difference were significant between the two groups both before and after treatment(P＜0.001).ConclusionHongyou ointment could promote agglutination of raw surface after undergoing operation of hemorrhoids and anal fistula. Compared with Etavitrol,it could get better curative effect and shorter heal time. |
