Objective To study the immunomodulatory effects of MSC in a model of allogeneic heart transplantation. Methods Mesenchymal stem cells were obtained from bone marrow aspirates of male SD rats,MSCs were administered in an allogeneic heart transplantation model. The animals were randomly divided into 3 groups: transplant group : heart transplantation between SD mice ; control group : heart from Wistar mice transplant to SD mice ; MSC group: heart from Wistar mice transplant to SD mice, then MSCs were administered in the heart transplantation model. Results in vivo, MSC injection did not prolong allograft survival. The xenograft survival of control group and MSC group were 3.10±0.55d and 3±0.61d, the xenograft survival were not significantly prolonged. Conclusions Although MSCs have immunomodulatory properties in vitro. However, their tolerogenic properties in vivo must be questioned, MSC injections were not ineffective at prolonging allograft survival. |
