Objective:(1)To compare the changes of IL-10 level in peripheral blood serum in children with bronchial asthma in acute attack group, clinical remission and control group.(2)To detect the lung function situation in different groups of children with asthma and healthy control children by Master Screen IOS device, investigating applyment and clinical significance of Impulse oscillometry in bronchial asthma.(3)Finding out whether there was connection between IL-10 and each indexes of IOS lung function.Methods:32 children(19 children in acute attack group,13 children in clinical remission group)with bronchial asthma were selected from Pediatric outpatient and wards of Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University and Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Liuzhou City,20 cases healthy children were selected as control group. The level of IL-10 in peripheral blood serum in children with bronchial asthma and control group were detected by the method of ELISA.The lung function situation were detected by Master Screen IOS device which were total airway resistance(R5),central airway resistance(R20),peripheral airway resistance(R5-R20),surrounding elastic resistance(X5) and the resonant frequency(Fres) in different groups of children with asthma and healthy control children.Analysis of variance and q test were used to compare IL-10 level in peripheral blood serum and indicators of lung function in different periods of asthma in children and healthy control group;Spearman correlation analysis was used to find out the different levels of IL-10 in different group whether or not related to the IOS lung function indicators.Results:(1)The level of IL-10 in peripheral blood serum in acute attack stage of asthma was lessen than the clinical remission group and healthy control group (P<0.01),the level of IL-10 in clinical remission group was lessen than control group(P<0.01)(2)The lung function indicators such as R5,R20,R5-R20,the negative of X5 and Fres in acute attack stage of asthmatic children were higher than those of the clinical remission group and healthy control group(P<0.05), R5,R5-R20,Fres of the remission group were higher than control group(P< 0.05),but R20,X5 of remission had no difference with the control group(P> 0.05).(3)There existed linear correlation in the levels of IL-10 in peripheral blood serum and R5-R20 in acute attack stage of asthma in children(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)The secretion of IL-10 was reduced in children with bronchial asthma,it could not effectively inhibit inflammatory response,it may be one of the reasons that could lead to airway inflammation in asthmatic children.Finding the possible therapeutic targets in which IL-10 acted may be expected to become the new approach to the treatment of asthma.(2)The total airway, central airway and small airway resistance were increased when an acute asthma attack in asthmatic children,it mainly up to the increasing of small airway resistance. The clinical signs and symptoms of asthmatic children disappeared in remission stage, their central airway resistance and lung compliance were firstly returned to normal, but the total airway and small airway resistance were still large,it provided theory basis for the next treatment of the asthmatic children at clinical remission period. IOS could provide various objective indicators to asthma in acute attack and clinical remission stage, which may be used as a method to detecting pulmonary function and monitoring therapy of asthmatic children.(3)R5-R20 may be an indirect response to airway inflammation in acute attack stage of asthma,IOS function may be used as another alternative method of pulmonary function for airway responsiveness measurement.
