| Objective:To study the relationship between the age-related expression of Nitric Oxide Synthase and testicular development and spermatogenesis in cynomolgus monkeytestes during postnatal development.Materials and Methods: 30 male cynomolgus monkeys (Maeaea Fascicularis)were divided into 5 developmental stages according to maturational morphological arameters,neonatal(n=4),early infantile(n=4) , late infantile (n=6), neonatal (n=6), adult (n=8). Testicular tissues of the monkeys were fixed in Bouin,s solution for 4-12 hours and embeded in Paraffi wax. Sections were cut into 6μM thicks slices, which were then mounted on slides coated with Poly-L-Lysine. Deparaffinized sections were stained by haematoxylin and eosin. nNOS and iNOS were dectected by immunohistochemistry and computer image analysis system. SPSS13.0 for windows statistical software package was used to assess the difference of ratio of positive cells in postnatal developmental stages. Results: nNOS unexpressed in cynomolgus monkeys testis during the neonatal and early infantile, and expressed in cynomolgus monkeys testis spermatogonium and primary spermatocyte during the lata infantile, neonatal and adult. There was signifieant difference (P<0.01) in the ratio of nNOS-Positive cells in 3 developmental stage . iNOS unexpressed in cynomolgus monkeys testis during the neonatal and early infantile, and expressed in cynomolgus monkeys testis Leydig cell during the late infantile, neonatal and adult. There was signifieant difference (P<0.01) in the ratio of iNOS-Positive cells in 3 developmental stage. Conclusion : The variation of nNOS and iNOS expression in cynomolgus monkey during postnatal development suggests they may play an important role in morphological development of testis and spermatogenesis. |
