Objective To probe the relationship between the appearance on ultrasonic sign and Pathologic Prognostic Predictions estrogen receptor(ER), progesterone receptor(PR) and Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(C-erbB-2,HER2/neu) in infiltrating ductal carcinoma of breast(IDC),and evaluate the possibility of predicting the expression of ER,PR and C-erbB-2 in IDC preoperation by means of ultrasonograph. Methods 207 patients with IDC confirmed pathologically were involved in this study.ER,PR and C-erbB-2 expression of the mastectomy specimens was determined with immunohistochemical staining technique. The correlation between the ultrasonographic features and ER,PR and C-erbB-2 positive expression was analyzed.Resultsâ‘ Of 207 cases, the ER positive rate is 57.97%(120/207),ER positive rate in lesions with spicule sign or posterior shadowing of the ultrasonography was higher than that in lesions without the certain ultrasonographic features(P < 0.05).micro calcifications of the ultrasonography, size of breast tumor,Axillary lymphnodes metastasis,CDFI and Menopausal state have not statistically significant difference with ER Positive expression(P>0.05).â‘¡the PR positive rate is 76.81%(159/207), PR positive rate in lesions without Axillary lymphnodes metastasis was higher than that in lesions with Axillary lymphnodes metastasis(P<0.05).spicule sign, posterior shadowing and micro calcifications of the ultrasonography, size of breast tumor,CDFI,Menopausal state have not statistically significant difference with PR Positive expression(P>0.05).â‘¢Of 207 cases, the C-erbB-2 over expressive rate is 29.95%(62/207),and the C-erbB-2 over expressive rate in lesions with the micro calcifications of the ultrasonography and post-menopause patients was higher than that in lesions without the micro calcifications and before-menopause patients(P<0.05).spicule sign, posterior shadowing of the ultrasonography, size of breast tumor,CDFI and Axillary lymphnodes metastasis have not statistically significant difference with C-erbB-2 Positive expression(P>0.05).Conclusions The spicule sign, posterior shadowing of the ultrasonography showed a certain correlation with ER expression in patients with IDC,without Axillary lymphnodes metastasis correlation with PR;while the micro calcifications,post-menopause patients showed a certain correlation with C-erbB-2 over expression.
