| Objective:To investigate the nutritional status and dietary factors of fertile women from urban population of Qingdao, analyze the difference of dietary status between iron deficient anemia (IDA) women and normal women, study dietary factors influencing the risk of IDA.Methods:From women for health examination,200 IDA fertile women(120 pregnant women in second and third trimester and 80 non-pregnant women)(called IDA group) and 200 normal fertile women(called control group) were selected and visited for a 24-hour dietary recall, and the difference in dietary pattern between IDA fertile women and the control women.Results:1) The daily intake of iron:Met the AI in second trimester and non-pregnant women, but did not met in third trimester IDA women and was significantly lower than the control women (P<0.05).2) Compared with control group, the daily intake of protein, vitamin C,vitamin B1, vitamin B2,retinol in IDA women and energy, zinc, vitamin E in non-pregnant IDA women was lower(P<0.05).3) Compared with RNI or AI,the daily intake of protein, vitamin C,vitamin B1, vitamin B2 in IDA women and energy, vitamin E,zinc, retinol in non-pregnant IDA women was lower.4) Dietary pattern:Compared with control group, the daily consumption of seafood and vegetables was lower but the average consumption of fruits was higher in IDA women(P<0.05), the daily consumption of seafood, meat in non-pregnant IDA women was lower(P<0.05).The percentage of energy from protein was rather low in IDA women(P<0.05).Plant food was dominant in non-pregnant IDA women's diets.Their percentage of energy supplied by supper was higher than the control women(P<0.05).Conclusion:1)The lack of dietary iron was dietary factor influencing the risk of IDA in late pregnancy of women. The iron content was sufficient in second trimester and non-pregnant women's diets, their low iron bioavailability may be the main risk influencing factor of IDA. 2)The lack of nutrients such as energy, protein, vitamin C,retinol etc may be related to IDA.3) Plant food was dominant in IDA women's diets.Their average consumption of seafood and meat was rather low.The pattern of three meals was not reasonabale. |
