Objectives:To study the infected information, clinical symptom and nnmolecular epidemiological characteristics of HAstV and HAdV infection among hospitalized children with acute diarrhea under 5 years old, from 5 regions (11 provinces) in china,from 2006 to 2007;to coreect the background data related with viral diarrhea;to provide references for prevention and treat of the disease.Methods:A total of 2731 stools were collected from hospitalized children with acute diarrhea under 5 years old in 11 province sentinel hospitals between 2006,1 to 2007,12,HAstV and HAdV were tested by using RT-PCR and PCR,six primer pairs were used to perform three special PCR amplicons of the two viruses genes respectively.These positive products were purified, cloned into the pGEM-T Easy Vector and extracted plasmid ,then selected the speciemes which were confirmed by plasmid PCR test to be sequenced the nucleic acid .identify the genotype and genogroup of available strains .Input clinic messeages of patients and the results of molecular experiments into computer and set up data-base,then used SPSS13.0,stata10.0 for statistics analyses and used DNAStar,DNAMAN, MEGA3.1 for Phylogenetic analyses.Resulits :1. The detection rusulits of HAstV and HAdV: The derection rates were 4,94%(135/2731)and 3.0%(82/2731)of hastv and hadv from the total stools. The sole infection was major among hadv infection cases.compared with mix-infections , especially hastv-rv type in hastv infection cases.2. The epidemiological characteristics of HAstV and HAdV infection among infants and young children: The the sex ratios (male: female)were 1.55:1(82/53)and 1.56:1(50/32);median ages were 9 month old, and mainly concluded the cases under 2 years old for HAstV and HAdV diarrhea patients,and there were not statistical differences among gender groups and agegroups.The high positive rate existed in the North for HAstV infections(7.70%) and in the north and northeast for HAdV infections(3.37%,6.17%).The positive cases were observed in every month; more cases frequently occurred in October to December for HAstV infections and in spring and autumn for HAdV infections.the detection rates were all hingher in 2006 for two virus infections.3.The clinical symptom of HAstV and HAdV infection: Diarrhea, vomit ,fever existed in positive cases; the duration and frequency of vomit in HAstV.mix-infections were more severe .For HAstV infections,agegroup, body temperature,the southeast were infiuencing factors for duration of diarrhea; the year of onset;HRV detection and the west were the infiuencing factors for frequency of diarrhea.4.The phylogenetic analyses of HAstV and HAdV stains: 114 strains were HAstV-1and 1 strain was HAstV-4; lineage 1b and lineage 4a were major lineages,;Among 82 HAdV strains,the frequence order was Ad41,B,C,AdV40,D26 and D4 were main genome types for Ad41 strains;The constructed patterns were similar between ORF2 and ORF1b-ORF2,but were different with the pattern of ORF1a.Two recombination strains (Ad41-Ad40)were viewed in our study.Conclusions: HAstV and HAdV were etiological agents of infants and children diarrhea,and the disease surveillance and etiological agent detection were necessary nationwide; HAstV-1 and Ad41 were main types for acute sporadic diarrhea of HAstV and HAdV in China;.the diarrhea caused by Non-EAd occurred frequently and should pay for attention..
