A Study Of Nursing Research Capacity Of Nurses In China And Related Influence Factors

Objective:A survey on the present status of nursing scientific research capacity of nurses in China and analyze the relationship of professional values, job satisfaction and nursing research capacity .the purpose of this study is to explore the objective and subjective influence factors on nursing research capacity. This study to enhance the research capability of the nursing staff provided an important theoretical basisMethods:The method is to use questionnaire survey, selecting "Nursing Research" magazine years 2007-2008 manuscripts of the first author as the objects to investigate, issued and recycling questionnaire by the mail. The general situation investigating Instrument there is the nursing staff questionnaire, nursing staff research capability of self-rating scale, nurses job satisfaction questionnaire, nurses occupational values scale. All the date is put into the software SPSS 13.0 for statistical analysis.Results:1. The scores of nursing researching capacity of the objects ranged from 16 to 120, the mean score of the nursing researching capacity of the nurses is 69.40±24.48,56.76% nurses perceived a medium rating level, and 29.34% perceived a high raring level. The score of every ranged from the first to the last is the manipulative skills of statistical software, statistical knowledge, researching knowledge, whiting knowledge.2. The impact of nursing research capacity of the objective factors are: level of education, the time of using in research, the degree of support, learning and training opportunities, title. The impact of nursing research capacity of the subjective factor is job satisfaction, it has a higher relevance with research capacity (p <0.05), the correlation coefficient is 0.697. the age of the nursing staff, security guards age, marital status does not affect their research capability, professional values and research capability has little correlation, the correlation coefficient is only 0.314. Multiple regression analysis results showed that: the impact of scientific research capacity of the main factors smallest followed by job satisfaction, level of education, learning and training opportunities, research time, the degree of support, title. These six variables and nursing research capability of the correlation coefficient are 0.765, which United could explain changes in research capacity about 57.5%.Conclusion:Nursing research capacity to a great individual differences, but overall was the middle class. At the four research capability, the nursing skills of statistical software and statistical knowledge is the weak link, needs to be strengthened.
